As any proud Papa, I like taking pictures of my daugther.
Here are some of my favorites. I try to use a long lense as much as possible to get better depth in the picture. Usually I go with my 70-200mm Canon lense.
I know, I know, seeing pictures of other people's kids is like watching paint dry.
1 - Just took this picture last week. We had a holiday on Kauai for 10 days. I greeted Sonja with flower lai ( I flew in a few hours before my wife & daugher).

2 - Also from Hawaii. My wife and Sonja's friend is in this picture

3 - Future chess champion???

4 - While on OSD last fall, I like this shot of Becky looking around the tree for Sonja who "WANT MOMMY" right NOW:

5 - Camping last summer near Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands of Washington State. The water was, uhh, a little cold.

6 - This picture will cost me when she is teenager (she's 5 now). This is last summer on the way to Vancouver Island on the ferry.

7 - A rose by any other name (from summer 2005)

8 - In Skaneateles, NY, visiting friends. Sonja liked their dog. Memorial Day 2005.

9 - We drove up to the Tulip Festival in Mount Vernon, WA last spring. I just like this picture.

10 - Those eyes! From 2 years ago.

11 - Maybe my overall favorite. Also from 2 years ago

12 - With her friend Ian as we came from mountain biking at Whistler almost 2 years ago. This one is really cute!

13 - This one is also one my favorites. Sonja sitting on the beach in the Cook Islands in March 2004, with jelly beans and "Stewart"

Very nice shots. What mode do you use most often with the Rebel?

Re: Favorite pictures of my daugther (geo1)

For these types of pictures, either full auto, or portrait mode. It all depends on where the sun is if I want to force the flash to go off to remove some shadows.

I'm really after a little more power. I'm just afraid of warranty issues.

Kris........
Get the Ipod! Worth the $$...For performance...what are you thinking? Downpipe and exhaust? Or a chip? The downpipe/exhaust will get you "some" addtional KICK..the chip will get you some impressive results!
Contact RSalesman here on SS...tell him you are friend of mine. He has done some "Serious" mods to his R! Getting @ 370-375hp now! Sounds very "throaty" with the 3''downpipe and new exhaust and it is "stupid fast".....
I even put an IPD sport exhuast on my old 240.....just for the fun of it. Changed the sound a little...gave me a "tiny bit" more power in 2nd/3rd gears...but it did increase my gas milage by @ 2 mpg...which on a 240 is not as good as you would think for a 4cyl.
I may send Devin a few of my daughters pics...just for the fun of it!
BTW....your Orangeman pulled of the big one in teh BigE tourney Hope they get a "dance card"!

I'm just dropping the car off with some syntethic oil and getting a loaner (XC70).
As for engine performance, I haven't decided yet. So, Rsalesman is a good source, eh? Is his R fully covered by warranty?
