I am now a member here since 5 years and had a lot of fun with my V70R. I appreciated all the nice discussions / help I could get from all of you. A special Thanks to Kelly who invited me to share nice moments with the Nürburgring Gang and was always available for advice.<p>Finally I had to chose a new Company Car and there are more strict "green" selection criteria related to CO2 emissions and the Volvo does simply not fit into the scheme. So from a point of view of maximizing the power / torque and minimizing CO2 there is nothing better then a BMW for the moment, that is why I opted for this 335D Touring in Le Mans Blue.<p><A HREF="http://img17.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc09247resize.jpg" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/7048/dsc09247resize.th.jpg" BORDER="0"></A><br><A HREF="http://img13.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc09243resize.jpg" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/994/dsc09243resize.th.jpg" BORDER="0"></A><br><A HREF="http://img12.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc09241resize.jpg" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/3172/dsc09241resize.th.jpg" BORDER="0"></A><br><A HREF="http://img8.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc09235resize.jpg" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/9069/dsc09235resize.th.jpg" BORDER="0"></A><br><A HREF="http://img6.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc09227m.jpg" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/7645/dsc09227m.th.jpg" BORDER="0"></A><br><A HREF="http://img517.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc09222resize.jpg" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/5346/dsc09222resize.th.jpg" BORDER="0"></A><br><A HREF="http://img10.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc09214resize.jpg" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/3945/dsc09214resize.th.jpg" BORDER="0"></A><br><A HREF="http://img8.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc09212resize.jpg" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/1007/dsc09212resize.th.jpg" BORDER="0"></A><br><A HREF="http://img7.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc09207resize.jpg" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/6007/dsc09207resize.th.jpg" BORDER="0"></A><br><A HREF="http://img6.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc09205resize.jpg" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/1903/dsc09205resize.th.jpg" BORDER="0"></A><br><A HREF="http://img25.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc09253resize.jpg" TARGET="_blank"><IMG SRC="http://img25.imageshack.us/img25/323/dsc09253resize.th.jpg" BORDER="0"></A><p><br>Now that the new car arrived, I put my beloved Volvo on sale<p><A HREF="http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/showDetails.html?lang=de&id=115254932&pageNumber=1&__lp=1&scopeId=C&sortOption.sortBy=price.consumerGrossEuro&sortOption.sortOrder=ASCENDING&makeModelVariant1.makeId=25100&makeModelVariant1.modelId=34&makeModelVariant1.modelDescription=eibach&makeModelVariant1.searchInFreetext=false&makeModelVariant2.searchInFreetext=false&makeModelVariant3.searchInFreetext=false&vehicleCategory=Car&segment=Car&siteId=GERMANY&negativeFeatures=EXPORT&damageUnrepaired=NO_DAMAGE_UNREPAIRED&export=NO_EXPORT&customerIdsAsString=" TARGET="_blank">http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrze...ring=</A> <p>for those in Germany or around, have a look under above Link. Re: Farwell.....for ever in this Forum (Bavaria R)

Great choice given the parameters you had to work with. I really wish BMW offered the 3-Series Tourings in 335i/d trim in the US. We can only get the 328 here.

Awesome car Fernand! <p>Love that blue, if I switch to a 335i in a few years, probably will go with that (thought about Monaco, but too dark in person like Magic Blue). Also, will for sure do European delivery, so good chance I'll be in Munich. <p>It is you who require a special thanks, people probably don't know but Fernand donated all the proceeds from the sale of the Svenske DP he won at the big Jun 05 gtg to pay for a prizes, food and a tent at a huge 2 day GTG in Apr 06. Complete class act. <p>What is ironic is I sold my Svenske DP last year when I thought I was selling the R, and now I'm probably going to buy another DP (probably ipd), now that I"m keeping my R for at least another 2 years.<p>Good luck, and please keep in touch, <p>Kelly

I know I'm getting off topic here, but this bothers me about BMW. What the hell is with the rear lights anymore? Why won't they line-up the lights across to the trunk lid? It drives me nuts! They do it on the M3 sedan.<p>Ugh, sorry, don't know where that came from...

Best of luck...beautiful choice of car and color! <p>I approve of all automatic transmissions....except Subarus. They're just messy. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/smile.gif" BORDER="0">

Re: (tomedkaz)

@tomedkaz: I guess I would have taken manual shift and 4 wheel drive as I appreciated that from my Volvo, but the 335d has apparently too much torque and they only deliver in Auto and without 4 wheel drive. In Germany the specs are 286 HP and 580 Nm torque. The great thing about about the Auto is that I can always leave one hand on the knees of my lady..... no the real great thing is that I have this adaptive cruise control and this one is breaking the car to hold the distance to the traffic in front of you and accelerates again up to set max speed... this only works well with Auto as ig can go down to speeds of 20km/h before taking up again.<p>@All: thanks for the nice words. Hope I will find somebody to sell the V70R to which is going to be as fanatic as me about it.<p>@Kelly: you have my Email, drop me a message when ever you are around, would love to see you and your family again (if not I send you an IM)

Which is why the fiance drives it. Since Volvo seems to refuse to make a RWD car ever again, I think the 335d may be where I go when I hit 100k on the R.<p>I'm hoping it does as poorly as I think it will as a diesel in the states, and it can be picked up on the cheap later on.
