Just wanted to say a big thank you to Lehman Volvo in Mechanicsburg, PA. Specifically to Doug Frantz (DFrantz on Swedespeed) and Sean McDermott (Service Advisor) for their help with my wife's 2017 XC60 and the modem upgrade.

My wife and I drove almost 3 hours each way to have some work done on her Volvo at the advise of a few others on the forum. I can honestly say they exceeded our expectations. I can't thank these guys enough for the work and time to get it right. Getting the car in early knowing we were a long way from home. Giving us a ride locally to grab some breakfast and back. Spending time with my wife making sure everything worked (modem upgrade) once the work was complete. Even a car wash were all great touches of service.

The one thing I feel bad about was I completely forgot the name of the guy who gave us rides back and forth to Lamoyne?? Sorry about that....super nice guy too!

Doug, Sean and all those at Lehman have customers for life for sure!

Thank you again!

Sean is indeed the type of service advisor every dealer needs several of. I've said many times one of the prime motivators for me to consider Volvo was the dealers reputation for a good service department. It matters so much when you're focused on local customers rather than just bringing folks in from far away because of a cheap price. Of course sometimes when word gets out then folks come from a far way for good service too, and we appreciate that as well!

I have the fortune of being only 40min from Lehman Volvo Mechanicsburg and not 3 hours. I agree with the assessment of Sean, what a great guy. I've only had the pleasure of working with him a few times but every time it's like we've known each other for a while, really cool person. I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Doug as I bought our cars used. I have appointments at Lehman Volvo Mechanicsburg for both of our XC90s in January, one of which is the 4G modem upgrade. I never thought I'd actually like using a dealership for service but Lehman has 100% changed my perception. There is a tech named Tanner who has done quite a bit of work to our 2016 and did a really great job.

I have never had the opportunity to use the store in Mechanicsburg, but use the store in York. Even though it's FIVE hours away from Williamsburg, Virginia where I live. Purchased my last two Volvos there. Also get my more involved service at the store in York (I get oil changes done locally because of the distance). For reference, the York store's labor rate is about 25% less than my local dealer's. And the York store has the best loaner fleet of the Volvo dealerships that I've used.

V70 Brad Agree 100%. I drove 2 1/2 hours from NJ to buy my V90 at the York location and it was by far the best car buying experience I've had in my 61 years on the planet. Unfortunately its too far for maintenance but so far I've been happy with my local dealer. 🤞
