In the Wired article: "The technical reason for the fail concerned a problem with the car's battery." I could see this being a possibility with how many electronic problems surface with a bad battery in newer model Volvos. But that doesn't mean I agree. The electrical system should be MUCH less touchy, especially if it concerns the correct operation of safety features. Definitely something that Volvo needs to address.
