If this is the same warranty extension that they offer with CPOs, then yes it’s absolutely worth it. I would recommend getting the maximum you can, or as long as you think you'll own the car.

For better pricing - with the CPO, I shopped around for quotes from different dealers for the best price. Saved a few hundred by doing that. Not sure if that is the same for brand new.
