After reading alot about people upgrading their exhaust systems, I'm thinking of doing the same. However, some like to go the prefab route, while others go to a local muffler shop and have them put together something...I'd like to get the most out of the exhaust upgrade, so I'll go 3"...but what about some people not putting a cat in the line, but rather simply put a straight pipe instead...does this add any extra HP? Our county is no longer giving emissions tests, so I'm not worried about that...Also, what muffler should I go with and is splitting the exhaust right before the muffler worth it? If it's just for looks, then I would say no. I saw a muffler from Flowmaster that looks good, but should it matter that it's a generic muffler?
Thanks again for any response,
Matt
