So, funds have quickly disappeared, and I have to pass inspection next month. The leak on my exhaust is coming from the rear muffler, there is a small crack forming around where the under axle pipe meets the muffler (the part that leads into the muffler itself). I called a weld shop, which said I have to remove the muffler if I want them to weld it ($40), but jugging from the level of rust on the nearby bolts, that might prove very difficult. Worse still, I am afraid that in the process of removal, I will end up breaking parts off, thereby requiring the purchase of new parts, which is what I am trying to avoid in the first place. <p> I am wondering if there are any other means of sealing that leak, a spray or something. Truthfully, I only need it to last past the inspection, so I can build the funds to buy a new muffler.
