Hey all I'm lookin at gettin an exhaust done and all I can find is the obx ones but I heard em on youtube n didn't like the sound. Would a 3 inch downpipe with a catless exhaust work? I know I'll get a CEL cuz of the cat. Where can I find a 3 inch downpipe that'll work cuz I've seen a few but none of em say c70 exactly. Thanks in advance

Any downpipe for a FWD S70 or V70 with the angle flange turbo will work. Basically 99 up. I used the OBX downpipe but I had to have it modified to work with the rest of the exhaust.

You can fool the CEL with an 02 sensor spacer, I did. If you have emissions you won't pass though. I got this one, allows you to do 3-4 different configurations till you find one that works: http://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B1U6I54?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

Your other choices are IPD: http://www.ipdusa.com/products/5621/114462-turbo-back-sport-exhaust-kit-angle-flange

They're pretty expensive lol I was hoping to find parts from amazon or ebay that were a little softer on the wallet lol

Sadly that's the OBX and nothing else. If you just don't like the sound, you could get one and have a shop throw another resonator or muffler on it till it sounds good. Should still be cheaper than one of those others.

Yeah I was going to go to into town later this weekend and have a muffler shop out here look at it cuz I asked the guy there before when I went there to swap a battery out and he liked the car and was impressed on how good shape the car was in and we started talking and I asked him about exhaust work cuz I guess he's the guy that does that there and has done it for like 25 years so we talked about it but I never came back to have him do it because I moved 40 miles away. I want to stop by there later today tho because I heard he's actually done full turbo setups for people and at good prices out here so I'm gonna see what he says about a down pipe and full exhaust. What do you think one of them flowmaster 10 series mufflers would sound like on our cars? It's their little shorter muffler that's the loudest?

I've got something like this Magnaflow glasspack. A straight through absorption muffler but from a cheaper brand. I've got to say, it brings the car alive.
The 5 cylinder growls like never before. Everyone loves it. I still have my oem downpipe and catalyst. Is it loud? Yes! But it's never to loud for long journey's.

A big open space where the original muffler used to be.

I let a shop make this setup and it cost me around 300€. Bargain.

That's nice. I know the stock muffler takes up a big area underneath I noticed it when I was lookin underneath mine a few weeks ago. I was like damn thats a big ass muffler lol I'm thinking of having the whole thing redone without a muffler but not sure if it'll be too loud. I want it to sound like this
