Sweet but what size lol i am goinig to order it right after i know what size to get ....
Also flowmaster or magnaflow who sounds better they look the same ? is one louder are the about the same ....
also i looked at the other threads they seemed to be talking about 3 inch i just to put new muffler on...
Thanks

Volvo for life
All depends on your service writer unfortunately. Some are cooler than others. Ours for example owned a modified STi that i did a lot of work to and now owns a modified duramax so is totally cool with modifications. If done right he doesnt void warranty. If you hacked something up to make it work and it did damage he would be skeptical.
My preference for ALL turbo exhausts is 3" turbo back. So im doing 3" in and 3" out however 2.5" out is more than fine im sure.
Ok so now im confused....
Im going for the straight flow muffler on the stock mandrel bent exhaust but im wondering what size in and out it should be so it will align with the stock pipes
When i get my new daily 3" turbo back is a must
I see what you are saying. You just want to be able to drop in a magnaflow and use the stock tips and piping... well that might be difficult unless you can fine a muffler with the same inlets and outlets as stock. Not sure what the pipe sizes are i would just grab a digital caliper and measure the factory pipes.
There's no plug and play muffler. If you go with the Magnaflow or Flowmaster options, the shop will have to fab up new outlet tubing. That factory muffler is thin and very wide.
Just run a search for "magnaflow part number" and make sure you click on archived topics. You'll find more than you'd want to read.
basically i was looking to do exhaust catback for 200 with muffler but im guessing its no possible.. i heard the stock 2.5 mandrel exhaust was very efficient but im all confused now haha .... should i spend like 300 for a new catback which idk if i want to or someone just answer me lol
Would 2.5 in and 2.5 out x2 better then stock ?
im thinking about 2.5"/2.5" x2 .....ok so then magnaflow or flowmaster ? is flowmaster too loud ?
is magnaflow too quiet
Dude if youre getting an exhaust no use doing stock tips.
The flowmasters ive heard are loud at low rpms and low at high rpms, and the magnas are opposite.
Heard that magnaflow is more free flowing while flowmaster is more constrictive
I guess magnaflow 2.5 in since thats out exhaust size right ? and new pipes off of the muffler with tips
Does anyone know about how much install with new out pipes should cost ?
i found this on the other post this is a flowmaster and it sounds loud all around .....
where is the best place to get tips for a good price
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9Urwd4dni8

The Magnaflow muffler is very affordable. I got mine off of Ebay for real cheap. I got my tips from an Autozone, and a muffler shop took care of the rest for like 100 bucks.
Again, just run a search and you'll find all the info you need.
It's been a long time, but i'm almost positive that this is it, part 14266. There is another one with a 3" inlet and 2.5" outs and that is part 14267.

One more thing I want to ask is your opinion on the sound of this magnaflow. I am thinking that the Camaro/firebird will be too loud for my driving and looking at the quieter one they offer. I mostly drive city 99.9% of the time and will this muffler give me headaches while waiting in traffic or when using 1st and 2st 80% of my driving?
It's quiet when it needs to be. At low, cruising RPM's, you can hear a nice low rumble, but it's not aggravating at all. At acceleration and high RPM's, it's a really really nice sound.
I put up a small video of what it sounds like. It's done from a digital camera, so it's not great quality:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNlJNs7heOo
Here's another video from Cicatrizdare. It's closer to the car, so you can look at both and get a good idea of the sound:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KpwTL1W3fUE
