So im looking at exhaust systems and see some cheap options that say for manual transmission. Im wondering what the difference is in the exhaust systems for the auto and manual trans, to determine how much work it would take to make a manual full system fit on a automatic.
Thanks!

On the P1 cars, I am aware of differences in the FWD vs AWD exhaust but not aware of any auto vs manual.

IIRC, the only differences in C30 exhausts, is the tailpipe spacing (facelift R-design vs non r-design cars)

To be more specific, the cheapest turbo back system i see is the Becker, and listings say manual transmission, so i assumed there was a difference.

Those listings always have some error in the description. For example, the downpipe I bought said it's only compatible with the C30, but in reality all FWD downpipes are the same.......

You can look at a genuine Volvo part listing online and compare part numbers for auto vs manual. Better still use VIDA to look it up if you have access. Or you can call a Volvo dealer.

Since there will be no engine mods leave most of the system intact including resonator as the drone could be unbearable. After doing some testing we just did a muffler delete with unequal length and different size tubing - not by design, haha. Excellent low end deep burble, gurgle and pops without being obnoxious while sounding like a bigger motor. Drone is reduced by wedging left over Rockwool from a job, under the various sections of the pipes. Moisture, mildew and fire resistant.

First time fabricating with friend's welder so kind of piece meal and sloppy but sounds great. Due to our lack of skills the exhaust tips point downward. A muffler shop could do this cheaply. The last photos were from setups on the web or here on Swedespeed for reference.

As an important side note: Drone is greatly reduce and sound deepended if you weld or seal the tip entirely to the exhaust. Sound back firing from any gaps where the pipe and tips attached will create drone.
