Over the past month, SpitzeStrom_Terp and I have worked on swapping the inlets in the front bumper. He wanted less chrome on his Executive XC90, and I was looking for a subtle addition to the front of mine. I sent him my two outer inlets (the middle one is actually part of the bumper, and does not come off) and my original grille to use as a project grille. He figured out that the chrome trim was only attached with clips after receiving my inlets, so he snapped the trim onto my outer inlets and sent my inlets (now with the chrome trim) and the center trim back to me. I put them on my 90 today, and they look great! I think it goes well with the red paint:D It has snowed 2.5 feet here in the past 3 days. I will post more pictures when I get it in the garage. Thanks again to SpitzeStrom for the trim!

Does look good. Anyone have part numbers from these 3 chrome pieces? Am I to assume they will just snap on to any 07+ grilles?

They will snap on to any face lifted XC90 inlet. Found the trim moulding at http://www.volvopartswebstore.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=243782 Really pricey for chromed plastic. A trade was a much better way to go. Part numbers are: left=30790053, center=30635599, right=30790054.

Your inlets are the same as mine, so they will work. Same year and trim.

Would you be able to include your pictures of the trim removal? That might help everyone get an idea of where the clips are.

40$ or 60$ for a small plastic, that's expensive :(
Ya no joke! Maybe Tasca has the parts for less. It seems like the site I've been using has slightly higher prices, but also has free shipping starting at a lower cost.

The original chrome inlet thread here has the few images I took showing the clips on the long main, center trim:

http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?261177-Chrome-Inlet-Trim-Swap

The side trim pieces only have inlets along the length of the plastic that snap into place along the OEM black inlet grilles, so there's even less to carefully pry off. I simply pulled from one end very slowly and it snapped off cleanly.

Sorry I haven't been able to take pictures when it's dry. Finals week. Thank goodness for Christmas break! I also just got my 32" light bar, so I will be putting a thread up shortly (I hope) for a step by step for that. Waiting on the wiring harness.

Wonder if the pieces could be wrapped with Chrome vinyl and have a similar look? Although it wouldn't be as thick, however, maybe there is some chrome door edge trim or maybe Autozone/Pep Boys sell a strip of chrome trim moulding that could be repurposed?

Mine came with it, and it's epoxied in. Otherwise I would remove it. Did you buy yours?

Sorry, the center trim pieces, not the surround. Did you buy them? I was thinking you could point people to a possibly cheaper website.

I paid $38 for the center trim piece on eBay from a private seller back in October of 2014. Not sure how much it normally goes for. The two side pieces I ordered from Tasca.

The center is typically $60, and each side is $40. Not including shipping. Still haven't gotten dry pictures, sorry. It snowed 2 more feet, and I have 5 acres to plow. Also added LED light bars to the front of our V70XC. Little 2x3 spots, but they make a huge difference! Making remarks about retina burners!
