Re: evolve power package (GiRaff3)

To answer his question more precisely (without ranting, based on NO personal experience w/ the company, etc) -
Evolve has left a "sour" taste in most of the member's mouths on this forum. From delayed product releases filled with (up until recently?) empty promises, to a handful of poorly made/overpriced products, they had not 'started' off on the right foot.
That is why you won't get much 'positive' feedback here specifically.
To counter my own above statements, there have been a number of recent releases, as well as some "staple" products that Evolve offers that are fairly well made/designed, but they do not comprise the 'power package.'
If you're looking to make power w/ a full set of upgrades, consider shopping around - no need to buy all from one place. Save yourself some $ in the process and then worry about a 'custom' tune from one of the two larger providers.

Better get the flame suit (or spend some time with the Search function). Evolve has been a big hit or miss with product for many members......and IIRC, the chip is soldered which is not the best way to go.

Re: evolve power package (MagoonR)

There have been plenty of success stories with EVOLVE products, but the negative situations have been documented much better.
Chilled Man will chime in eventually...

Re: evolve power package (drey88)

There are 3 better options for tuning your car, all of which use software flashing instead of ripping your ECU out and soldering.
IPD
RICA
BSR
If you plan on doing a DP in the future, go with IPD or RICA which have dedicated Stage 2 tunes.
If you are still under warranty, I reccomend RICA, since the PPC device does a great job of erasing its presence, and it is a self contained device that you just store in your vehicle for easy swap back to stock.
If you want lots of data and have a laptop handy, go with IPD. It doesn't swap back and forth as easy (requiring a laptop), but has a great data logging function.
BSR has a good tune as well, and if probably the most affordable, but it has never publicly supported further engine mods.
Evolve has also publicly stated previously that they didn't feel a need to develop a distinct stage 2 tune to support their DP and exhaust. Some people also had problems with the tune, and others well, were unable to find a performance benefit on a dyno, but that was a long time ago, YMMV.
