for those who have installed evolve kit, how happy are you with the fit and finish. i know my body shop at to modify the front bumper a bit to make it fit poperly. after three months of use, i have noticed my sides(under the headlight) keep on popping out. took it to the same body shop and showed me why. the stock bumper uses clips to mount on, and the evolve is just cheaply made. nowhere for the front clips to hold on to, so the guy drilled a couple small black bolts to hold 'em in.
this seems to be a problem for most evolve kits, as well as the s60. found this out at a recent volvo meet where a few guys mentioned they had the exact same problem at the exact same spot.
evolve should fix it.

Re: evolve kit (volvos40t5)

Crappy Body Shop!

Mine went the extra mile and even cut the headlight washer holes and put the little covers back on so it would look factory. No problems whatsoever with fit and finish as they did a superb job and stayed there till 2am one night because the owner though it "didnt look right" so they redid the whole thing until it was perfect and the paint match was flawless. All for only $1150 for full install, paint, etc... You get what you pay for (but luckily I live in a smaller market so prices are much better than the SoCal bretheren someone said $2200 for all the stuff I got, yikes )

Re: evolve kit (Tarheelvolvo)

Mine came out nice. but it was a lot of work for the bodyshop, and it took them about 2weeks. the final cost for the installation was around $3000, but the guy gave me an estimate of $1700-$2000 in the beginning, so at the end he charged me only $2000.(im in SoCal )
the guy who did the installation said the evolve kit became wavy after paint, so they had to sand the pieces for it to fit nicely.
after installation, i had no probs. no loose bumpers or anything.

i paid $3k as well, since my fiance hit my car into the wall and needed a few extra parts. the bumper did need alot of adjustments to fit properly, but after it was painted, came out perfect. i do not blame my body shop, since they have done alot of work for my family and friends.
however, i too had the wavy problem at the lower front and rear valance which required additional work.
my problem seems to be next to the headlights. a few s60's ive seen had the same issue. just checking if anyone else had the same issue.
thanks for the feedback.
