Thought I'd do a role call to check on everyone's condition after last yesterdays little ordeal with the hail.
My Camaro suffered a bit of damage on the hood. The Jetta got a couple of good smacks...enough that we'll take it in for estimates. I was at Dick's sporting goods at 86th and 465 sitting in my S70 while the hail pelted my car. I mean it just sounded like every window was going to shatter!!
I think I found 1 hail dent. Had I been closer to my house where the other two cars took beatings....I'd be sick right now!
So how did everyone else make out?
Matt

Re: Everyone alright? (OilAnalyst)

Sorry to hear the news about your other cars. Kim's 850 was tucked safely away inside the parking garage at her work.
One of my cars was pelted with softball sized hail back in April of 2001. Paintless Dent Repair is the only way to go. With over 70 dents, I had mine repaired for only $1400. To save money, I removed the headliner in my interior myself.
PDR works great. Traveling PDR teams are the best. They are hired under contract by major dealerships and body shops. If you have just a few dents, ask them to work on your car in the parking lot at their hotel. You will receive a much better quote/price.
Find traveling PDR teams here...
http://www.paintlessrepair.com/
I have used Superior Dent and would recommend them
http://www.nodents.com/
Avoid most franchises such as Dent Wizzard. They are too expensive and may miss some dents.
http://dentwiz.com/site/US/EN/index.htm
Also, my brother used a Father/Son team located in Seymour and Bloomington. I used them back in July of 2004 to remove a few door dings.
Fred Boyd - mobile 812-498-1957
Tim Boyd - mobile 812-272-0736
(If that doesn't work, I can't read my own writing - try 812-292-0736)
One observation. The traveling PDR team from Superior Dent (from California) used a small butane torch on each dent to soften the metal before they started removing the dent. This did not harm the paint at all. The Father/Son team did not. I would probably bring my own torch and have the Father/Son team heat the dent first.
My blue car was in the garage...but the orange wagon withstood the brunt of the storm in the driveway with small hail pellets...luckily no damage. That is one tough machine. Boy, wouldn't you like to own it Matt!!!!
