I got my UPS package today. I unpacked it. Around 9pm I started the install process. Around midnight I finished. I'm tired. I'm just going to post a few pictures and make some comments.

Sound:
It's very quiet. I like it a lot. When I first started the engine, I heard a Wwwwooooo. I thought whoa, it's going to be loud. Then the rpm dipped back down the idle then the noise was gone. Slightly little more low rumble but you can barely notice it. Then I took it for a little drive to return a Blockbuster video. You do hear the Wwwoooo around 1500rpm to 2k but then after that the engine noise seem to overpower it. So it is very close to stock. Just a little more lower tone. Put it this way. If my wife was with me, I doubt she would notice. I drove with all the windows up. I wanted to see how much different it would be for my regular drive. I only took it to 4k rpm. I'll let er rip when I go to work tomorrow.
[Update] Added sound clip. It is a freaking quiet muffler. I placed my phone behind one of the exhaust tips and reved the car to 6k rpm and released.
Right click and select Save As
http://www.s40turbo.com/files/...k.mp3

Appearence:
I was fearing that it would stick out too much. But instead it has a nice flush look. It was exactly the look I was wanting.
So I'm happy happy.
Forgot to mention the diameter is slightly bigger than stock. I had to cut the stock pipe to get it out. I was able to snugly fit stock pipe into the EuroSport pipe. So outter diameter of stock = inner diameter of EuroSport.

The package had a nice beating. One end of a pipe was slightly bent and one exahust tip guide was bent. No big deal I just bent it back.

Just so you can see what it looks like assembled.

Outlets of the muffler is straight thru

I thought it was weird for the flange to have a slit. Awesome, the tips aren't as bad as I expected and from what you say it sounds like the tone won't be bothersome at all either. Can't wait to install it.

The flange looks like it was LAZER cut.... they don't pierce holes real well so it looks like that's how/why the slit got put in. Flange looks plenty thick so it shouldn't be a problem. Nice Welds also....

Re: EuroSport exhaust installed (volvoNB)

Nice looking catback. The Heico muffler has the same straight-through outlet configuration. I think this system is a Ferrita (same mfr for BSR), as it takes the inlet-at rear approach to connecting the muffler to the pipe. This adds pipe length to both sides of the muffler, but reduces the tightness of the over-axle bend. Nice touch on the engraving.
I'm interested in how it sounds under full load, my Heico is subtle at low revs but really opens nicely up under load and when backing off. The sound will change as the system breaks in, carbon will build up and the packing will settle. Let us know!
[edit] question on those muffler hangers. Do they attach to both the muffler and the elbow pipe? I see a bracket on the pipe I didn't expect...
Tom.

You can see the other bracket on each tail pipe. It's so you can adjust it as needed. I didn't know what it was until I installed it on the car and they matched up.

Re: EuroSport exhaust installed (selrahc)

I did some runs using the GTech. I had a previous run 2 days ago. It seems to avg about .06 faster in the 1/4 mile (according to GTech). So about 6HP gain? If asked if I feel anything, I would probably say I think I feel less resistence at the very top end. But one would expect that anyway.

Just noticed, your muffler hangers are black, mine are red. Wonder why the diff? S40 vs V50? FWD vs AWD? Different part? Strange.
(Heico system)

Tom.

It looks to me as if the catback pipe is simply the stock unit, with stainless splices replacing the resonator. I thought you said it was a 3" system?

Tom.

Installed!
So far the only problem I have with it is a strange wooshing noise which I don't normally associate with an exhaust leak... not sure what the cause of it is yet but it goes away once the RPMs get up.

They definately stick out a lot. Perhaps the tips were fit to a car with a bodykit before production?
