I did some searching and it appears as though most of the discussion about the Focus RS was going on before the car itself was revealed. Now we know it's a 300 bhp front wheel drive hatch, using Ford's new "Revo Knuckle" technology to get the power to the ground. Internet forums are awash with hot-hatch lovers complaining that Ford won't bring that car here. But where does that leave the C30? Do you think there is any chance of a future Factory C30 model with this suspension and power? Or even the aftermarket, if tuners could figure out how to replicate the Revo Knuckle just think of the possibilities! Does anyone here have any thoughts, theories or inside knowledge on the above?
Just in case you've been hibernating; here is Jason Plato putting a Focus RS through it's paces...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m64tvrtFCKs

Re: European Focus RS and implications for C30 tuning and future models... (M8)

There is currently talk of Ford importing the next (not the current) RS to the states which would seem to dispel an earlier rumor that the current RS would be Ford's last.
I can't see Volvo not incorporating the Revo Knuckle into a high performance car and of course, there is pretty solid info that there is a C30 R on the way.

Thats good news. I've been out of the Volvo loop lately. A C30R with something more substantive than a body kit and big wheels would get me back into a Volvo forecourt.

I can only imagine how outrageously overpriced a C30R would be and probably wouldnt even be much of an upgrade much like the "R design" S40 in which they didnt increase the power to an R level status at all. Only added some cosmetics and up'd the price to a ridiculous amount.
Cosmetic upgrades dont justify a 35k+ price tag in my opinion.
