Anyone had any experience with an upgrade like this, what are the pros and cons, is it worth it.
Thank you

Re: (GrahamsV70R)

Well the software is in, and the seat of my pants tells me its quicker, Independant dyno tests say about 48 hp to the wheels. So far I'm happy with the upgrade. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

what the? 48 whp gain?... what else do you have for mods, and did you dyno with the same gas before and after? That is quite a gain! Way more than the projected 53 bhp gain. The seat of your pants must be very pleased!

Re: (JOSBRO)

Josbro,
remember that the 300hp is at the motor, so at the wheels maybe 250hp give or take so with the mod 290hp at the wheels give or take. I will post the independent test. I've not dyno'd my car yet. The mod on mine is ppc and a filter on 93 pump gas.

Graham, you'll have to let me know if our dealer gives you any crap about it. I doubt it, but there have been instances reported on here (with other dealers of course). How many miles have you clocked on your car in total so far???

Re: (Quick Brick)

QB,

9500 miles and the nice part about the BSR / PPC is the softloader, I can put back the orginal software then once done with Mr. Dealer back with the upgrade.

Graham, that's my point... the projected 53hp gain is bhp (at the crank). If you gained 48 whp (at the wheels) that means you gained probably around 60 bhp. That is quite a gain, and if gas, temp, humidity, were all the same, I'd say your PPC is on steroids. Congrats! http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Did you get the "new" softloader, or do you have the original design? Just curious...

Re: (Short Circuit)

The orginal one, the new on is not out yet, they have just been showing pictures of it, to make our mouth's water. The serial port is a problem because alot of the newer computers don't have that type of port anymore, I had to hunt around the office to find one.
