Just a few hours ago I was trying to recharge the A/C on my 2000 V70XC, had my dad out helping me with it. When no freon was leaving the can, we started to look at the compressor and realized the compressor was not kicking on. With that said, started to pull some fuses, with the car running. We pulled the fuse that said AC, Excel, the car started to rev on its own and I quickly threw the fuse back in. Got back into the car and the ETS light is on, I have turned the car on and off several times now, even drive it a mile or so, still on. How do I turn it off, does it go off just on its own or do I need to get it reset? Or, could I have caused damage?<p>Also, not such a large concern now, but the A/C took about 1/4 of the can. The compressor was not kicking on at all, even after pulling the correct fuses for it. Do I just have a bad compressor? If so, how hard is it to change it out?
