Got my EST strut brace today and had some clearance issues during the install. I've attached a few pics to show what I'm referring to. FYI installed on an '08 s40 FWD.

Should I be concerned? The bolt holding what looks like two ground wires it pressed right up against the driver side strut end.

I had the exact same problem when I installed mine yesterday. It took me over two hours to get it in properly. Not sure what the grounds are for, so I cannot say if there would be a problem with them touching.

Re: (carreragt7)

Id just move that ground to the left and should eliminate the problem you guys are having. Shouldnt be any issue since its a ground post and they share it all together anyway, having them touch is no different.
Long as the eyelets on the grounds are the same size anyway, i havent really checked. They look about the same in the pics anyway.

I never had any issues. I'm ginny to bring a tool set to the gtg so if you don't have time between now and then we can get it taken care of at the gtg.

The Size of That Bar it has to Doing - a Lot of Strengthening !
What You Don't Want is a Bar that is - So Stiff and So Bolted that
It Pushes the Sides or the Strut Tower Out . Now that Sounds Extream
Think How Far a 5 ft. bar of Alu. is going to Expand when It goes from
40-60 Degrees to 180 Degree or 215 Above the Turbo .
A Stress Relief - That's Why Most Bars have Bends in Them -
Usually @ Both Ends .
That's Why I Didn't Like the Single Straight Steel Bar - Which was Nothing More then Steel Tubing ( Cheap ) .

Re:

Seems like a pretty decent unit, for the price i dont think anyone lost out. Havent installed mine yet but from the craftsmanship looks alright. I was checking AJ's out at the GTG and its pretty solid. The whole prinicipal is to keep the front chassis from flexing, soon as the suspension becomes unstable or tweaked your suspension geometry is changed reducing your handling capabilities. Obviously you would probably have to drive the car pretty hard to tell a difference but an overall good buy for the price.
.02

Re: Re: (ForceFed Motorsports)

Hard , Well If You have Large Tires & Rims and Go Leaning On It , that's Way harder then the Design , so a Bar Will Help .
( The V50's are Stiffer then the V40's Were ) , I didn't have to Go to Much Faster to Feel the Difference On the V40 - about 10 MPH .

If Everything was Perfectly Tight and You - Started to Expand and Contract
The Sides of Your Cars Engine bay 4 Times a Day . 025 Out and .025 Back.
Back & Forth - It wouldn't take Long to Loosen Up some Welds and allow Water into some Joints .
So there Should be some Flex ( Strut Bar ), But a Good Strut Bar - won't allow this Changing of Suspension Angels 2 Degree On One Side and Nothing One the Other They Support Two Sides , so Everything Should Be Twice as Good - with a Slightly Faster Sway-Bar Action . Real Life It's about a 15% Improvement .
Now If they also Tied the Mid Points of the Bar to the Firewall .
( Well ,all I can Say is Ka-Boom to the Car that Runs Into that Set-Up ! )

Like the Older Cars with a Nice _ V_ Welded to an 18" x 2 " Backing Plate - Bolted to Firewall !
