hi all,

so after getting some chirps and rattles removed from my my10 xc, the car came back with some vibrations. so far i have noticed that it comes through when engaged in gear and idling. when letting the brakes off the vibration goes away. this is particularly apparent when engine is cold.

could this have anything to do with transmission fluid? i know the fluid is sealed and not supposed to be changed...

the gears also shift late. dont know if its software or related to the vibration.

any thoughts?

You better do a transmission drain and fill.

There's no such thing as "lifetime" fluid.

so the dealer updated both ecm and tcm. now the car shifts a bit smoother but the previously said intermittent vibration is still there. the mechs says its normal. and i did feel the same vibration in the 2010 xc70 loaner car with 20k miles on it. so i guess the problem is solved...

so the vibration is getting more prominent. and the transmission fluid is sealed in and cannot be changed... does anyone have the same issue? is there a transmission that is due to start failing at 70k ?
