my engine really freaked me out a couple days ago. In the afternoon, when starting my car to return from work, it stated to virbrate, almost rumble. I drove for less then a mile and the power felt like 10hp. The car, no matter how depressed the gas pedal was or what gear it was in, would not go faster then 10mph. I popped the hood and the engine was shaking like crazy. My first thought was that the bushings were broken, but what cuase the loss of power? anyway i restarted it(like i should have done first) and it returned marginally to normal, still not though. I was able to drive it home in the wonderfull Atlanta traffic(400 ftw) and dropped it off at the dealer to be safe. Anyone experiance this before? I think it may be a ECU problem because restarting it seemed to help, dunno though. luckily i still have the dealer warranty( ends with this month lol) and some of the factory warranty still. I should hear from the dealer on monday or tuesday
anyone reconize this?

well, its obviously misfiring on more than one cylinder, but i can't tell you why.
i would highly recommend that you pick up an extended warranty becaues you will find that it will play to your favor in the long run.
be sure to let us know what the cause was.

Re: (phuz)

ok got it back today. Fixed up and seems to be back to normal. It was the throttal actuator. It had gotten dirty(?) and needed to be cleaned. they also upgraded the software. That seemed to be the problem. I didn;t really find out too much about it though as i spent most of my time trying to get them to cover it under warranty. all good now
