hrmm
has been happening once in a while...
i dont think it has anything to do with the wastegate adjustment, because i had it a few times before that too. at first i thought i went over a rough part in the road... but i have been checking and it wasnt.
what could cause this? it is like the engine isnt getting enough fuel or sumthing, or is really cold.
i have my car set to economy mode usually and sometimes i do hard acceleration from a stop but i only go up to 40/45 until i let off. i always let my car get up to temp before any hard acceleration is done, and my oil level seems fine.
any ideas????

Re: Engine Stutter (GShyneDM)

I know what ya mean. even when not moving, actually, usually when stopped at a light or something, there's a lil rumble in the engine bay, like the engine wants to shut off, then it goes right back to normal. I'm guessing it's from the turbo timer or whatever, like it turns on and takes away from the rest of the cars power till it generates more power. Anything close to what you're talkin bout'? For like a split second right?

That makes three. I have the same problem as well. I shrug it off now since I got used to it. I thought it was the ABS doing a self check but it;s coming from the engine.

ok well other possibilities
1) computer injector pulses or
2) the fan turning off and on, causing the shaking or
3) or anything that eats up amps like the ECU cycling on and off
I wouldn't worry about it though

I had that problem, but a little more extreme, it turned out to be my distributer, and that the number 2 and 4 cylinders were missfiring a little bit. I took it to the dealer, they replaced and everything is running great now.

They didn't charge me anything I guess it was an abnormal problem, so it was under warranty.

Hay Gshyne before you check the distributor ask the dealer to look on all the engine mounts. They brake and cause a vibration that sounds pretty bad. That was my first problem on my car got both of them replaced the top and the side and it fixed the problem....never heard it since..plus its under warrenty for that!!

Re: Engine Stutter (C70SPEED)

bye they way the noise is more at a stop than driving for some reason I also thought it might be from my distributor but my mechanic noiced it right away.. You can check on this by when the car is parked open the hood and look on the engine mount it should be located at the top of the engine and connets to the front of your car move it from left to right if it moves then that one is bad. the others are harder to get to they are down in the sides of the car.. but ask them to check that first..
