Is ipd engine stabilizer mount better than factory? Opinions? experiences?

I installed one on my car about four months ago. I have had no problems at all and it seems like a very durable mount. I have pick up though a very slight vibration in the steering wheel at an idle. Because of the harder solid urathane design you get some engine vibration transmitted to the wheel. I can't stress enough though how slight it is. Definitely worth the peace of mind of knowing that you'll never have to replace that again. I you plan to upgrade your car I would recommend you getting one.

I have a sound when I brake, that I have been told is an engine mount. It is like coming to a grinding stop.

I am thinking about ordering that ipd motor mount... but is this the problem you were trying to solve?

Don't get the IPD mount. It is too stiff and causes too much vibration to come through the firewall. It seems like they are putting more rubber on the stock one now anyway.
