Recently the engine fan on my 04 XC70 (about 80k miles) has been running every time I turn the car on and only stops when I turn the car off. Its summer and the weather has turned hot, but that wouldn't explain why the fan comes on first thing in the morning after the car has sat overnight. Any thoughts as to why this is happening would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: engine fan running (ashvo)

Maybe the coolant temp sensor is bad, that partially controls the fan
