So what are the EXACT differences between the HPT motors?
I know in 98-99 transition new cam/intake/ecu (thrttle by wire)/ changes happened. Also in the older 740 series some motors had "low friction" i.e. less bearing surfaces, and such. Also rumor that the C70 has a R motor in it. Heard it has a separate software code base for ECU than S70... All rumors.
So...
Who knows exactly what motor is in C70?
Year over year motor changes?
Truth of "stronger rods, etc"?
Thanks...
Carl
It's the same T5 engine they have for any of the 70 series T5. Nothing different.
Some others can probably give you a better run down of the exact details, but NO..the HPT C70 has the same engine as every other T5.
