My friend showed me this, and was thinking about getting it for his 2001 BMW 745i, I wonder if this is another gimik like the Tornado fuel saver or if this thing might actually work! Here is the website if any of you have heard of this or want to check it out. I am sceptical! And for $300 I just don't know.
http://www.electricsupercharger.com
Re: Electric supercharger!?!?!?!? Too good to be true???? (ismetopher)

Here is their guarantee about the 4% HP gain at the "wheels". Still I just don't know!
Performance Guarantee:
After purchasing and (properly) installing the e-RAM on your engine, you do not feel that the performance increase is what we have claimed (4%-6% HP increase), you just need to do the following within 30 days of receiving your e-RAM to get a full refund*.. Take your car to a dyno test in your area. Make dyno runs with and without the e-RAM activated, and take a picture of how it was installed. Mail the e-RAM back to us with the picture, a copy of your receipt, and a clear copy of your dyno comparison results (signed as witnessed by the technician running the dyno). If the dyno shows the e-RAM does not increase horsepower in your engine by an average of at least 4% of its previous horsepower throughout the 3000 to 6000 rpm range, and we conclude from the picture that you have installed the unit correctly, we will give you a full refund* and even pay for 1/2 your dyno fee! (up to a maximum of $50 reimbursement) *Full refund does not include shipping charges *Please see "compatibility information" section below We challenge any other manufacturer of aftermarket bolt-on horsepower devices to make the same commitment! We know it works!
(10/04) We now accept G-Tech performance meter tests for validation of performance gains.

I think you'll get 6%/1.7psi by just driving your stock turbo on cool days!

Re: (jackf)

siemens the guys that have built all the piezio electric diesel and car direct injectors has a electric turbo charger that fits into the intake port that said these devices are not capable of making any meaningful HP say really 1/4 PSI of boost and a good flowing intake and filter so 3 HP from the supercharger and 7 from the filter and intake and 3 HP for a already forced induced engine with a great fatory intake.

Re: (GoBigRed)

siemens has one with one electric turbo per port, rare earth magnets limited power but neat. ALL other ideas are crazy with minimal power gains most of which would be found by large cone filter and fat intake which are also installed at the same time.

Waste of time. Searching will show you lots of posts on car forums refuting the worth of these systems.

Re: (quick)

These posts always remind Me of a former co-worker's son..... had a late 80's 2.3L 4 cyl. Ranger pickup..... One night My coworker comes home and His Son had hooked the elec. leaf blower up to His engine's air intake tube...... I guess it made a good hard launch in front of the garage but after 100 feet the extension cord came unplugged.....

Re: (POWERSTROKE)

I'm skipping the electric supercharger for now, a "tornado " set up get's like 23% plus better mileage , 5 in a row and my car will actually accumulate gas in the tank after driving.
