So I spent the morning installing a set of eibach springs. Everything is finally bolted back together.
I just have one small problem.
When driving at slow speeds I get a rattle from the front suspension. I think its comming from the passenger side. Which tells me my car is too light, the springs aren't compressed enough and as such will rattle.
I tried putting a washer under the nut on top of the strut, it worked on my mazda but the volvo upper perch is different so it did nothing in this case. I know for sure that coil sleeves would fix it but I really dont feel like taking apart my struts again.

Anyone have any fixes for this?

Go back and double check that you tightened everything. Check that there is no play in your balljoints, and other suspension components.
I can almost guarantee that it's not the spring. They are carrying the weight of your car....

Yeah odds are its not the springs. The weight of the car should be suspended on them if done correctly haha. Probably just missed a bolt or something. Double check your bolts.

I only have the 2 bolts on each side. Sway bars on tight and the control arm bolt that attaches to the strut is in as far as its going.
Is it possible to break the sway bar mounts? (not the endlinks)

A tapping sway bar when the bushing/mounts are damaged is a really loud knock probably not your complaint. Didnt have any spare parts did you?

There Is a Certain Position - the Strut must be mounted in- some referr to It as Perch in the Bearing Seat of the Strut Tower , but that's all I got as I don't Usually don't do these Area's . I would get all the Alignments Tweaked Out.

I solved the problem.
The spring didn't seat properly, I was able to reach in and twist the spring into position with my hands. It was only off a mm or so.

You solved the problem?
the wiggle when accelerating at low speeds?
which one was off? and how can u tell?
sorry for throwing questions at you but i've been stuck with this problem for quite some time. Some say the CV joints are damaged due to the lowering(eibach Springs), Some say the driveshafts are too short also due to the lowering.
Thanks in Advance~

I solved the rattle. The bottom of the passenger spring was a hair off the notch for it.
However I still have the wiggle.
I dont think the drive shafts are damaged. But do think that they are too short.
I only get the wiggle half the time. Sometimes I'll take off and its as smooth as stock, other times it will be so bad I take my foot off the gas, but the norm is a very slight wiggle under heavy throttle. I used to get the same slight feeling when stock but that was only between 1.5-2.5k rpm at heavy throttle. Now every rpm is a problem.

I had the same problem, dealer says bent axle so it's getting replaced right now, I'll let you know how it turns out.
