I am taking my car in this week to get the 2004 ECU "patch". I've neglected to do it for over a year, and I'm finally getting it done.

I've seen P/N 9494715 advertised as the thing to ask for -a total ECU reload.

will that update my suspension settings too? As far as I know, I have REV1 or REV2, not the newer one...and I've heard a lot of negative comments about the newer suspension software...i'd like to leave my suspension alone, as it works fine.

should I use the total reset number above, or is there a way to just upgrade the engine stuff and not affect suspension..or should I not worry as the above number will do nothing to suspension settings???

thanks. don't tell me to search..i spent an hour searching and couldn't find the answer to this one question.

Won't this overwrite your Evolve ECU update?

An ECU reload or even the P/N 30677021 update will wipe out the Evolve flash but should not affect the suspension since that is a SUM update.

Sean,
Haven't you been here long enough to know one has nothing to do with the other?
(Just make sure to tell them NOT to touch the SUM)

yes, I know it WILL wipe out the EVOLVE upgrade.

For $50 they will reflash it.

I"m thinking of "upgrading" my 91 octane program to their 93 octane program and just forcing myself to buy 5 gallon pails of race gas to mix my own gas. I've become completely addicted to 93+ octane gas. it's unreal what a performance different it makes.

OMG, Bush was right, we have become addicted to oil.

Nancy Reagan would be so disapointed - JUST SAY NO to 93 octane....

Yessir, I've been trying to break my addiction by going to 30000 mile oil changes. That should reduce consumption, right?
