I recently discovered that the right back passenger carpet is sopping wet. I'm pretty sure I fixed the problem (clogged sunroof drain.) but now I'm left with a mess. I've vacuumed up the water from the floor but the pad under the carpet is soaked. How hard is it to remove the carpet/ pad so I can get it dried out? Do I have to remove the front passenger seat? If I do that, will I set off some sort of code that the dealer has to reset? I've thought about taking a drywall knife and cutting a large slit in the carpet, dry out the pad, and then put duct tape over the cut. Since it's covered by a floor mat, I wouldn't see it. Does anyone think I could dry it out that way? Thanks in advance.
