e-brake Plastic Cap - Fixed!

I just wanted to post my fix, since it's apparently a common thing for the plastic cap on the e-brake handle to fall off and go missing.

I ordered a replacement cap, but it didn't fit. That is, it has little, plastic catches on it, but there's nothing on the e-brake handle for them to latch into. Well instead of sending it back, I epoxied a metal clip on the back of the cap, so that's what holds it in place.

I cut off the tip of the top catch, so it's just for alignment now. The metal clip holds it on.

If you can't make it work...improve it!

I like it. And while we're at it with plastic caps here...I did not like looking at that little hole in the drivers outside door handle every time I got out of the car... you know, you often look back at your car by habit. You know, the little hole for the "emergency key" So I save everything, and I found this little tiny grey plastic grommet that just fits that hole (I forget the width size). You can still pop it out with your fingernail if necessary. But I thought it is a better look for the handle...and a thief's first impulse about gaining quick easy entry to the vehicle is neutralized.

I got it from iPD USA. They said maybe I ordered the wrong one, maybe for another model year. But their site is pretty good for entering your model year, and it only shows you parts for it. Near as I can tell, C30's came with either the plastic cap, or a leatherette bag.
