Well, not much longer after my first post here comes another wonder haha. I was looking at c70's with the Dynaudio sound system thinking that all of them come with the two subwoofers behind the seat. I managed to find one fully loaded with options (Summum I believe) from 2006 for a decent price. Testing out the speakers I was pleasantly surprised how good it sounds with CD's but the deeper I started looking turns out the car doesn't have an aux, Bluetooth or a cd changer... fml... Since then I've already ordered a bluetooth kit that plugs into the cd player. One day I decided to clean the whole interior, removed the rear seats just to find two pieces of foam covering up the subwoofer holes. Then I went on the forums, You Tube, Google looking for any sort of help how to add the 2 missing subwoofers to the car. Figured it would be relatively easy since i already have the Dynaudio speakers elsewhere. So my question is what would I need to add the rear passenger massage kit to the car . From what I know so far, 2 subwoofers (Don't know if Dynaudio or I can buy an aftermarket option), 1 Subwoofer Amplifier (No idea which one), an optic fiber splitter (to hook up the sub amp to the main Dynaudio amp), (and 2 subwoofer crossovers??). After all that I would need either to visit the Volvo service or get myself a DiCE cable to code in the subwoofer option to the car.

Phew, I thought older cars would be simpler to work on, turns out the beginnings of "MOST" systems in cars are the literal worst thing to work with...
If you guys have any sources and/or part numbers for the parts I need, I would love even the tiniest bit of help.

Also if I missed out on something please let me know.

Thanks <3

Depends if you have already prewired everything from the factory, if yes, then youll need sub module, most splitter, wiring harness that connect both subwoofers and subwoofers themselves. And after that reinstall the program.
I have done everything mentioned above, except the program.

I can’t help with your question but could you describe your Bluetooth to cd solution? I have a2006 also, so no aux input.
Yeah, I've been looking for a proper solution to implement the aux but it would all require replacing the screen and the cd player, this is the best thing I've managed to find.

There is a video on the website that shows how to install it, and the comments seem positive too!

This is doable! After i installed everything parts wise, only thing was left to reprogram the software. Volvo dealers arent allowed to do this, so wasted time and money there …
Found a guy who works with Vida Dice, installed the software and everything works.
Sound is night and day. Now when i got the fullest spec music in my c70, i can say for sure that subwoofers is a must.

If anyone has questions, feel free to ask.
Will make a post with pics in my topic.
Huge thanks to @Facusan !!!

Did you get the part numbers for the components?
I recently bought my C70 with the Dynaudio-kit but missing the sub. And I really want the original ones :)
Thanks

Subwoofer - 30775282
Sub module - 30775587

But keep in mind that i believe it was from 2008- , the module was different. Best is to buy used parts from the same year c70. In that case you know you got the right parts.

Also you will need most splitter, wiring harness that connect both subwoofers and bracket that holds the module. And ofcourse the software

And 5 screws for each subwoofer, 5 nuts to tighten'em and, if you want to make it perfect, 5 washers to put in between.
A very expensive proposition :censored:

Subwoofers mount with screws. And no nuts. There are holes for red plastic “clips” or idk how to call them, which are used as nuts. Might find the part number, if anyone needs

Hey, thanks for all the help guys. Got the Sub module ordered, just waiting for the speakers to become avaliable. Is there any way some of you could let me know the part numbers of anything else I'd need? The bracket for the sub module, the cables to connect the speakers to the module and the crossover if I need it. Also if I forgot anything else please be sure to let me know. Thanks

You need: Five screws and plastic “nuts” per speaker. A fiber optic splitter (or loop, whatever fits you better. Wires are all there). A wire harness to connect the two subwoofers to the car wiring (31270070).
The SUB bracket is no longer available, I made do with a piece of velcro.
Then you’ll need the software / activation (VDASH).
Have you disabled the MOST security already?
PS: Crossovers are for the front door speakers only.

Thanks that's really helpful! And no I have not disabled MOST security, maybe it's already disabled since I got the car used haha. Is there any way to check that?

You’re welcome, @RR04 helped me a lot since I retrofitted all of the dynaudio speakers to my car.
You can check the status of MOST security in VIDA. It’s in the “HomePage” of the diagnosis tab, listed toward the end along all the options of your car

Yeeeeah, I'd need to buy myself a cable for that then haha. I was kinda hoping a Volvo dealer would be able to enable the menu option for me. Definitely gonna think of getting a cable in the future tho

I think i mentioned this before that dealers arent allowed to do this. I may be wrong, but maybe some individual workshops that use vida can do this. I myself found a guy who programs keys and everything else for volvos. Got lucky

Hey, so I have a quick update on the retrofit. Everything went relatively smoothly so far and I have a feeling that the software will be the most difficult part right now. I've managed to get everything else needed, also got myself the DiCE cable and with it came a cd preloaded with vida on it. Okay that all worked out. Now the question I have is what do I do now. I am completely clueless... I've checked the diagnostics tab in VIDA and it say that the MOST Security is activated.

I have been searching all over the internet with what to do next and have not found a single thing. I have even downloaded VDASH and in the Security tab there all the options are grayed out for me (again can't seem to find the reason why). I have a feeling it would be a straightforward procedure if MOST Security was disabled since I have seen the option to turn on the subwoofer in vdash. So would anyone be able to point me in any direction or what to do next? Do I need to get that VDD dongle from vdash to crack the CEM, would that allow me to turn MOST off?

P.S. I have been at the dealer and they have told me that they aren't able to do anything about it as @RR04 told me 😅 but hey it was worth a try.
