Hey all,
My father is trying to gain access to the "master window control switch" on the driver's door panel. Does anyone have pointers/hints on removal?
Also, does anyone know the availability of Volvo shop manuals? My dad has them for his '76 and '87 240, but the dealer said that they don't sell them for the '98-'00 S70's. Sounds fishy. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

You have to take off the trim round round the door handle too. Also, you can by the Haynes manual from IPD.
Make sure you get a few of those clips from a volvo dealer before you start. They always break but are easy enough to replace. And make sure you remove the little plastic piece from around the inside door handle first. If not, that thing will shatter into a few pieces.
Tony P
98 V70 T5M

Thanks for all the replies!
Are the Haynes manual the only option? I have a Helms manual for my car (non-Volvo unfortunately) and that things is great. I remember going through a Chiltons and I think Haynes at a bookstore and wasn't too impressed by them.

The Haynes manual i had for my 850 and the one for my 98 V70 were both pretty good. Not quite as good as factory shop manuals, but only a fraction of the price. They describe the procedures in enough detail and list difficulty levels so you know what you're getting yourself into. It's worth the $30 to have around.
Tony P
98 V70 T5M
