For the first time since I installed my aftermarket 3" dp, I had to go to get my emissions tested. My dp has a high-flow cat so, I assumed I would have no problems. Not the case
I was reluctant to say my aftermarket dp was causing too high a reading of NOx (2.2ppm -- isn't supposed to be higher than 1.5ppm here in CO). I went to my local indy and they said they have had three people this year come in with aftermarket P2R downpipes that failed emissions. So, I installed an OEM dp and guess what? I passed emissions.
Is there a workaround for this?
I've heard about the O2 sensor extension, but I think that is just for tricking the ECU so there are no CELs. I don't have an extension and I don't have CELs.
TIA:thumbup:,
