Does this work for our R's? (Throttle adaptation reset)

I've been reading lately about the drive-by-wire throttle system (which I believe our R's have, right?!?! ) and apparently a bunch of different car manufacturers have a simple procedure to reset the throttle adaptation. Most involve putting the key in position II and putting the gas pedal to the floor for x amount of seconds. Here's an example for certain Bimmers.
