Getting a new rim and tire package. Not sure if this model needs TPMS?
Also... Tire size im looking at is 235/40/18.
Is that as large as I should go?

Thinking of Blisten lowering shocks too. I am a little concerned about the harsh ride.
Anyone with experience on this?
Thanks!

I don't think TPMS was available until 2007?
245/40/18 seems to be the consensus, at least on pegs. Double check offsets, and expect some rub on full lock to lock, but with spacers that may be helped.

My 2007 has TPMS, I think that's the first year.

I just got new 18x8 +43 offset wheels. Mounted 235/45-18 tires. I do have some rubbing at full lock, but my steering stop limiting blocks were worn down quite a bit. I know ipd has aftermarket ones that are oversized to prevent rubbing. They actually call out use with 235/45 tires. They are pretty cheap($5 each?), so I'm going to give them a shot soon.

Side note, I am not lowered. So I'm not sure exactly how that will affect it. I have heard it's fine, but I have no experience.

Best of luck!

correct, no tpms in 2001. 235/40/18 on an 8" rim will rub a bit at lock. I'm not lowered, no other issues on 18"s.

Gotta say, I am interested in the 245/40/18... if that truly does fit. How about 245/45/18?? Pretty meaty.

The 235/45/18... seems like a slightly more comfortable ride though.

Anyone else experience on the 245 tires?

Thanks!
