Hey everyone! I am most likely getting an S40 T5 (my dads finally leaning away from the 2.4i), and I was wondering if it significantly changes performance, (acceleration, gas mileage) If anyone has it please let me know how you like it and your gas mileage thanks!

I have the T5 and love it as far as speed and all. I get much worse gas mileage vs. the 2.4i. I had a 2.4i loaner and was getting around 33mpg (had it for a week) vs. my normal 22mpg in my T5. However, I do drive it very hard and fast

Re: (FBplaya0085)

If I had to do it over again I would go BSR. I had a problem with the dealer installing a new ecm due to a problem, my ecm had to be mailed back to evolve again and they had to reflash it. More down time...

I have the PowerChip In My FWD GT T5...
It is a very significant upgrade....
Infact people DO get in my car and go WOW! I wasn't expecting that kind of power...
One of the best gauges I've gotten from a speed stand point , Was racing a Manual Boxter S .....It was Dead even ...And my car is an auto , and I was also carrying a passenger....
If you do get a Chip of any kind on the FWD T5, lemme be the first to tell you that you're going to need sticky tires...

Wow really? thats good to here. I had no idea an s40 could keep up with a boxster S w/ only a chip. Does it tend to burn out with the stock tires? I wouldnt be suprised with all of the torque you get from Gold 91 and 93. Thanks for the reply, that is exactly what i needed to hear. No i want to buy the chip even more.

Are you sure he was racing you??
