any way to make some of these threads into downloadable pdf files and host them somewhere? Seems like after some time, all the pics dissappear.

I tried a quick and dirty PDF conversion with Word 2007, and it seems easy enough.

you could try dopdf, a free pdf maker

It is not adobe, has no bells, but it works, it's faster and it's free
