We recently moved into a new house that has 2 maple trees that hang over the driveway on each side. The seeds from these trees have been falling on the car for the last 2 weeks, during which it has rained the entire time. Yesterday was sunny and I made it out to clean off the car a bit. I took off all of those pesky seeds only to see that some of them were stuck to the body. Even those that came off easily appeared to discolor the paint. I plan to wash the car today and was wondering if any of you have any suggestions on how to remove these marks? I am concerned that the effect may be similar to bird droppings - that scares me given how long these things have sat on the car. Any advice?<p>Thanks.

They usually don't etch paint like bird droppings. Pick up a clay bar to remove any surface contaminates. They're cheap and easy to use.
