I saw, someone already made this here, but our volvo-maniacs (dealer electricians) also make it serial now on S60 and XC90.

What do you think about it?

Its not a diod tape, each diod separately soldered into taillight. It's wide diods with 120 degrees luminescence corner. For 4 XC90 taillights (it is divided on 2 parts on XC90) was used about 130 diods.

I like it. Can only imagine how much soldering it required...

on a side note. xman, you have to go, really.. I've been back only twice (05, 09) and difference was huge. For you it will be a different country. My kid loves visit there and we try to give him a chance at least every second year.

Conceptually, I like it...

But I think it would be better if it were a continuous band of light (like the Citroen) instead of being able to see each individual LED bulb.

Can you tell me how they opened up the tail lights without breaking it and how they put it back together? If you happen to know or can you ask the maniacs themselves?

I was going to do something similar, but the time involved to drill out for each LED, glue it in, solder, wire, etc, is just mind blowing!

Great job with a neat result!
