In California we cant offer that plan,but we have our own thru Autonation tire and wheel protection. I got it on my 04' and it saved my butt. I hit a pothole on freeway and put bubbles in 3 of my tires. They were all replaced at no charge. The 18' wheels/tires are easily damaged on crummy roads. I probably do 1 claim a week here at our dealer,mostly on 18" either on the R or S80.

Yes: At 5K miles, rim was re-finished and new tire installed, all covered by Tire Protection plan. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

I don't know anyone with 18s that hasn't damaged a tire and/or rim...

I already have roadside protection for my tires from Costco. Do you offer and if so, how much for just Rim Protection?

The rim protection is not available separate.
What is covered:
TIRE:We will reimburse you for the cost to replace your tires (original tires as supplied by the manufacturer and replacement tires of like kind and quality), for the length of the contract, if damaged from glass, metal punctures or other road hazard on a public roadway. You must provide reciepts. Your tire(s) must have at least 3/32" of tread depth at time of blow out or flat for this coverage to apply.

Wheel:We will reimburse you for the cost of repair or, if non-repairable, to replace your wheels (original wheels as supplied by the manufacturer and replacement wheels of like kind and quality) rendered unserviceable due to the road hazard damage of a tire from glass, metal punctures or other road hazard on a public roadway. Unserviceable means that the wheel is unable to seal with the tire, resulting in air loss. You must provide receipts. Your tire(s) must have at least 3/32" of tread depth at time of blow out or flat for this coverage to apply.

We have never repaired a wheel so far. We have replaced quite a few rims with new ones under the terms of the contract. Customers love when they are paying $0 to have a new tire and rim installed.

i have a bent rim, and no coverage that is why I am asking.

Is it possible to repair a bent rim? What would this generally cost?

I would need a photo or part number off of the rim to quote a price, there are so many rim's available. There is a company called Wheel Collosion at 800-292-7467 that repairs bent rims.

In the r's first year the sales price of a Graphite 18" Pegasus rim alone was close to 800 Euro's per rim including sales tax..

The silver 18" was ~670 Euro's. At the same time thse rims were available in the US for $220,- per rim.

Yes, I believe a new Peg from the dealer is $225'ish.

The part number we came up with is 30647397 it is listed as a alluminum alloy 18" peg wheel it lists for $315.13. You may want to call the 800 number for a quote on repair, and purchase the DriverCare for next time.

As an FYI, several dealers/vendors offer the Pegs for less than list. You can probably save $75 or so by shopping.
