I ordered a S60 2.4T through Volvo Military Car Sales, which is basically the same as the TDS program. I received my order confirmation dated 8th of March and it says my car will "Ex Factory 200220" The dealer here in Italy says that is in May. Does anyone know if if means the 20th week of the year starting the first of January or something else? My car is being delivered directly to Oklahoma through Jacksonville Florida. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Wil
Soon to be owner of
S60 2.4T
Silver Metallic with Graphite interior
Premium Package
Touring Package
Fog Lights
200w Amp

Your dealer is correct. First week of January of each year, is that year's production week 01.
Yannis

Thanks for you help Yannis. It says the next available ship to deliver it to the States. How often do the boats leave from Sweden to deliver the cars?

The S60 is actually made in Ghent, Belgium and shipped directly from there. I don't know how often the ships run; but I'd think the schedule must match the production rate otherwise cars would be stacked up outside the plant like cordwood.
It's worth the wait; I had to wait for my T5 about 5 weeks after my European trip and it was well worth it. My car has run great ever since I picked it up; no problems at all. I fully expected something to go wrong, it being made in the first 6 months of the production run. But no, it's been just fine.
happy motoring (when you get it, that is.)

Sometimes there will be two ship per week per port (there are four ports for USA delivery; Newark, NJ, Baltimore, MD, Jacksonville, FL and Hueneme, CA), other times there will be just one or one every 10 days.
I have seen cars get here within 2.5 weeks after they were dropped off and/or reaching completion off the line and I have also seen that spread grow to 4 weeks or so. It all depends.
Yannis
