for the debadging part: just take a small, unused razor blade
(like the one used in this kind of knife:
)
and gently cut the foam between the badges and the trunk. be careful not to damage the paint!!
another possibility is to use dental floss to get the badge off. (but I've got no experience with that)... should work just fine.
after that, use some goo-gone or paper towel to rub off the remaining black gunk.
I debadged my car after it was three years old, and still no problems with faded paint...
just be sure to polish the debadged parts
and with your HIDs... I think 6000k will look very good http://********************/smile/emthup.gif
