Wow, so i drop off my car yesterday to try to figure out what went wrong when i installed my boost gauge to trigger my "driver side door error message". First, they tell me that my boost gauge that "was put in place of a speaker" needs to be removed for the door panel to come off. Then they call me with the diagnostics and say that pretty much the harness inside the door become (what sounded to me, unhooked) and it took them X amount of hours to diagnose and it was gonna cost $580 to fix!!! hahahahaha, i seriously started laughing hysterically. I already knew it was going to be a train wreck when those idiots called me and said they had to take off the boost gauge to take the door panel off
My question is, since i brought it to them thinking it would be a warrantied repair, and they are saying since it was tampered w its not, I can just say no to the repairs and fix it myself?? Because the service manager practically told me what the tech said, and its probably isnt a hard fix. What are you guys thoughts??
