Anybody know the approximate cost for having the dealer install fog lights? And how are they controlled...switch on dash, right steering wheel stalk? I hope it does not require the dash to be cut....

I have a 2002 S60 T5 with fog lights installed. I had mine installed at the factory so I'm not sure how the dealer will handle it. My fog light switches are just to the right of the fuel door unlock switch. They are all mounted on the same panel. I expect the dealer will just replace the panel and insert your new switches. I am happy with the results from the lights. With regards to the disc changer I know that my dealer here in europe quoted me 780 euro installed just a week ago for the changer. That just eats me up to know that I could pay for a new deck and changer that plays MP3s for the cost of the factory changer. Right now I'm not sure whether I'm going to take the plunge or not. By the way my Volvo is U.S. Spec.

I had the fogs installed by the dealer prior to delivery of my 2.4T.
The switch is the 'correct' one and is located in what used to be the blank next to the rear foglight switch just like the standard issue on the T5.
The cost was around $300 installed.

Are these dealer installed fog lights the Volvo-issue standard fog lights for S60? Or do dealers get some cheap fog lights from some distributor and add them on for $300?

No. Mine are the real thing and since they were installed prior to me getting the car they are covered under warranty.
