JMn and I did an autox last sunday, had a good time and took lots of pics! It was hosted by a local corvette club so lots of those were around too. And yes, Juha's R was way quicker than my T5... one-wheel burnouts FTL
Pics here: http://homepages.gac.edu/~dadolphs/Aug2006Autox/

Re: DCTC AutoX pics! (LTA)

The pics with "img" in the filename were taken by a friend of mine... the ones with "dsc" were taken by me. I use a Nikon D70s and he uses a Canon 10D. We're both amateurs, but fairly experienced at "shooting". He's better that me too, evidenced by the fact that your 2 favorites were shot by him
Yeah, my T5 suspension is bone stock, JMn has lowering springs and IPD sways. It's more fun playing with all that weight transfer, makes it more of a challenge! I have to say though I find high speed road courses like Brainerd more suited to my car than AutoX for various reasons... chief among them no one-wheel burnouts (lowest speed at BIR is ~55MPH)... lots of pics and stories from those are here:
http://forums.swedespeed.com/zerothread?id=62263
and
http://www.mnvolvo.org/phpBB2/...d3ef3

Nice photos but I got to ask you. What gears were you running in. The only autocross event I have done here in the NorthEast was in a parking lot with lots of cones. I never got out of 1st gear. It looks like you guys actually had some road course too. Lucky.......

Looks like a lot of fun. I did badly autocrossing my 900 on the weekend, I'm getting antsy to take the R out to autoX again... but since I bought the 900 specifically for that purpose the R isn't likely to autocross anytime soon.

In the timesheet (link above) it's the '87 Zink (whatever that is).
