I know I've seen this topic posted before, but wonder if anyone knows the fix for burnt bulb(s) on the dash computer cluster. My computer only features the outdoor temp, and clock. Any adivse on necc. action such as pulling instrument cluster etc. I don't mind the time to do it, just want to make sure it is simple enough to do without a major headache. The upside however is that the car is quite a bit darker in the early am or evening.

I have the same problem, but didn't bother to go to dealership to fix it, as they said it's a time and money consuming job, if your radio tells you the time, then there is no need to spend the extra to get the costly job done, right?

H,

I am not quite sure about which lights you are on about to be honest.

To start with the switches can be fixed by extracting them and using small audio or replacement filaments and soldering them in ive done this to many.

The heater lights i haven't tried this but the board needs to be renewed two bulbs are here.

The instrumentation, well you need to remove the dash cover, and then it is wise to replace all the small bulbs at once so you don't have to go through the process again.

Time consuming but worthwhile from the labor point of view.

Mark.

Hey Buddy, this is the site that we did ours on. These lights are not really that hard to do if you don't have the turbo. I did it on a 94 glt using the instructions from this site. It's pretty good and it has pictures. There are two types of bulbs. The larger ones can be bought at any automotive store, but I'm not so sure about the smaller ones. Follow the instructions carefully. It's possible with one person, but it's best with three (one on either side holding up the dash and another to extract the cluster. Good luck!
this is the actual page http://www.volvospeed.com/Dashremove.htm
