God Damn!A new problem!

When I drive slow on 1st gear, when ever I accelerate and brake,a sound like"Click"is heard.Especially when the car is in a closed park area,it can be hard easily.
When I hit throttle a little the sound is heard, and when I leave the throttle it again heard?Make me crazy!
Do you have any idea?
Axle splines. Unfortunately, I know this noise all too well.

I don't hear the click with the throttle, just when I depress the clutch pedal and shift - sounds real good bouncing off concrete barriers and in parking garages.

I had the first loctite at 4700 miles, new hubs and reloctite at 7500, and am heading back for a third round battle at 13,000. I have asked for an appointment with the regional rep when he comes through. Quite simply, if you can't fix it, let's work on an amicable settlement.

Yep, sounds like the axle splines .....Mine were loctited @ 7K. Now I'm at 26K and so far so good. But I agree that loctite sure doesn't sound like a permanent solution.

Re: (icebiker)

If you read all the hassles with this problem reported on the forum, you may choose to take the "do nothing" course. I have so far. My car had it almost from day 1 (OSD pick up in Göteborg). My Swedish friend (recent Volvo retiree; originally a mech. eng. but in computers for most of his 30 yrs at Volvo), checked with the employee car service techs at the factory, where he gets his Co. car serviced. They confirmed the same fix recommended here, but also that it's "optional" and leaving it alone should not affect the expected service life. Personally, I decided to wait and see, since it's a ways to the end of warranty.
