Strange rotating sounds and vibrations increasing at low to medium speeds. Definitely not like wheel bearing sounds and not the tires. At 44K miles, CV shafts, inner maybe and/or outer. More to follow after dealer visit on Wednesday...Extended warranty to the rescue. <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://********************/smile/emthup.gif" BORDER="0">

Re: CV shafts noise, dealer visit this Wednesday (TexasV70R)

Just returned home with a new angle gear assy. installed. (dealer parts mgr. called it a transfer case). I had forgotten what a quiet car sounded like. Total cost was $1,991 but extended warranty price to me was $25. They said the bearings inside had gone bad.
