Okay, so big summer project number 1 is complete. I know many of you have been waiting.
In total, I personally spent about $20 on two plastic cutting boards and some truck bed paint for the texture (it could have been $6 if I hadn't messed it up...). There's also about 30 hours of work into this from the concept to the templates to the first, second, and third tries. But I finally have the finished result and I'm very pleased with it!
What do you think?
Setting the lines for positioning, 8" between each line:
One piece, cut from the corner of a plastic cutting board:
Test positioning:
Three versions later, the painted/textured design:
And... On the car!:
I may do one more layer of paint or plastidip to further cover up the minor gap between the diffusers and the trim piece. Though, it's hardly noticeable in person. The picture just brings out the worst.
