Well, I was bored and figured I'd try a simple design for an intake setup. I bought a plastic trashcan at home depot and cut it to size and cut holes for air feed and MAF, and installed it. It doesnt look the best or most professional but hey, its unique. Let me know what you think.

And heres a very short and crappy clip, you can't really hear it that well, IMO it sounds a lot better in person.
http://s704.photobucket.com/al...8.flv

Re: (Rezin S60T5)

Alright, well I went for a couple of quick drives after I installed it and all I can say is WOW. Makes a lot deeper growl when under heavy throttle. I can actually hear the turbo spooling a little too which is pleasing to the ears. And of coarse that pleasant blow-off when you let off throttle. I have noticed better pick-up and launches seem somewhat better. (at least the butt-dyno thinks so) So far I am realy really happy with this intake and I'll keep you all updated.

Re: Custom Intake complete... (bpray9223)

Looks interesting, beats the 400 bucks for the Evolve AMS. One suggestion, change out the little bolts to rivets with washers, would look a bit cleaner. Also is that pool hose feeding unfiltered air through the end of the filter?? If so, NOT GOOD!!

Alright yea I was thinking of making a little cleaner with something like rivets. Where do you think I can get a rivet gun for cheap? And yea that is pool hose but its leading to the top part of the filter that looks like this. Its not open inside that hole of the filter.

I just went out and bought another trashcan because I'm going to re-make the heatshield to be a little more exact with my cuts because when I made it last night I was in a hurry and I wasnt that careful with my cuts, so I want to make it fit better and redo the weather stripping with rivets. You can't beat $5.99 for a heat shield, haha

Once you have one, you wont believe how many times you will actualy say to yourself "Man I should rivet this".

Re: (GiRaff3)

If i had ready access to a welder I'd be all over the sheet metal heatshield. But unfortunately I don't, but eventually if I find someone with a welder I will remake the heatshield with sheet metal. And yes I know its made out of a trashcan but its cost/effectiveness is really high.
